Who is Eligible for the Program?

• By Post or Email: If you want to apply by email or post, go on the Australian Govt Hearing Service’s official website and download the application form.  Complete that form and send it via post or email to the program’s designated address.

What to Do Next After Applying?

Once your application is submitted and approved, you’ll receive a Welcome Pack with all the details you need to know about the program. It will include important information about the hearing services available and details about hearing aid options. You will also get a list of approved hearing care providers. 

After receiving your Welcome Pack, you’ll be ready to book an appointment with a provider of your choice from the list. Whether you need a hearing assessment or hearing aids, you will get it after your application is approved.

Can I Appeal if I Disagree with the Decision?

In rare chances, if your application doesn’t get approved and you still think that you’re eligible for it, you can appeal for reconsideration. Make sure to reapply within 28 days of the decision. 

To apply for reconsideration, contact the program’s support team or your provider. A team will review your appeal, and you’ll receive a response within 90 days with a final decision.
